⌛️Progress Bars
- ⌛️Progress Bars
1. Top Bar
1. largest chunk
This is the largest chunk of the review cards.
When all are filled, all of today's review cards are complete.
2. Second Bar
1. Small chunk
Small chunk on each card.
This chunk becomes the top progress bar chunk.
1. Change target number of cards
The number of small chunk can be changed in settings.
"Cards -> Target card values".
2. Example of counts
Current setting is 10, so reviewing 10 cards will fill the second progress bar.
(The numbers in this image have been edited for clarity and are different from the actual display.)
For example, if the number of cards due today is 80,
and the small chunk is 10, the large chunk is 8.
Small Chunk can be set to a maximum of 100.
If the cards due today are 1300, and the small chunk is 100, the large chunk is 13.
3. 10 sec count Bar
1. counts 10 seconds
Third progress bar counts 10 seconds per review.
2. Compatible with Speed Focus mode
If you use speed focus mode, use the same seconds as the speed focus mode setting.
4. Review or All Cards Mode
1. Review Cards Mode
By default, the progress bar advances only with review cards.
New or relearning cards will not advance even if you answer them correctly.
2. All Cards Mode
Then, when all of today's review cards are done,
start counting all new cards and relearning cards.
2. Toggle Review or All Cards Mode
This function can be disabled by unchecking "Count only review cards at first".
Display Numbers
[ Target card values 1 - 100 ]
Adjusting the target card values will change the bar chunks. It can be used to review 5 cards at a time or 20 cards at a time. The minimum is 1 and the maximum is 100.
[ 1 ] Value 5
[ 2 ] Value 20
[ 3 ] Value 100
Calculation Method
You can change the calculation method of the cards for the progress bar. There are three types.
[ 1 ] Count Each Deck (default)
Calculates the progress bar for each deck. It retrieves card data, so cards reviewed on mobile are also calculated. So even after restarting Anki, the reviewed cards' values are retained. The progress bar will advance when a card is answered correctly and the due date is after the next day.
[ 2 ] Count All Decks
Cards from all decks are totaled and calculated. Otherwise it is the same as the progress bar [1].
[ 3 ] For Filtered Decks
This is automatically used when reviewing with filter decks. It is calculated for each deck, but does not collect data on previous cards. So when you restart Anki, the card data is reset and mobile reviews are not used. This can be used instead of [1] and [2] progress bar when there is a problem.
🚨Attention: older Anki
If you are using an older Anki (e.g. Anki2.1), you will need to enable the V3 scheduler for the progress bar to function properly for now. (If you are using a recent Anki (e.g. Anki24) this is irrelevant because the V3 scheduler is Anki's default.)
